FreeHour Youth Awards is a prestigious event designed to honour and celebrate the remarkable achievements of youths aged between 13 to 25 in Malta across a wide spectrum of fields.
The awards encompass a comprehensive range of categories, serving as a mark of recognition, and highlighting the innovation, positive impact, and talent of young individuals in Malta.
The awards aim to inspire Malta’s youth to pursue their passions and make meaningful contributions to the society they are cultivating, all by providing a platform for acknowledgment and encouragement.

How Does
it work?
phase 1
nominate
Once nominations open, individuals are invited to submit entries for youth aged 13-25 who have demonstrated exceptional impact within their communities or fields.
Self-nominations are also accepted for those who believe they are a strong fit for a specific category. There is no limit on the amount of nominations submitted per person.
phase 2
VOTE
Following the nomination period, FreeHour will review all submissions and select 4-5 finalists for each category.
The public will then be invited to cast their votes, with the final outcome determined through a combination of public voting (50%) and evaluation by a panel of expert judges (50%).
phase 3
FINALISTS
The 4-5 finalists in each category will be formally invited to the main awards ceremony on the 29th of May, during which the winners will be announced.
Award recipients will be honoured with a bespoke trophy and official recognition of their achievements. A special catagory will also be announced at the event.
This year’s
Our panel of 3 expert judges will be voting for winners in each category once the nominees have been selected.
Their say will be worth 50% of the overall vote for each nominee, with the remaining 50% being up to public vote.
